AHC President’s Report – April 2024

The Australian Industrial Hemp Conference was held on the 16-18th of April at Pokolbin, NSW.

The event was a huge success with a large number of attendees from all areas of the hemp industry, as well as budding enthusiasts keen to learn, representatives from other industries sharing from experience and scientists delving into their studies.

Shahajahan Miyan, Research Scientist and Project Manager from DPIRD in WA addressing the participants

There were some 60 speakers across the three days, covering topics on food, fibre, fodder, extracts, biomass and more.

This event was a great opportunity to make connections and learn from others in the industry. The opportunity to have a chat with a leader of a hemp food company, or a representative of the APVMA throughout the whole event, and the connections made, provided an unmatched opportunity for enthusiasts and entrepreneurs.

A full report from this conference is being prepared by Agrifutures who provided sponsorship for the event.
